Hall Effect Sensor Magnetic Field Detector A3144 A3144E OH3144E 3144 (Pack of 10)
Hall Effect Sensor Magnetic Field Detector A3144 A3144E OH3144E 3144 (Pack of 10)
Hall effect sensors detect when a magnet is near. These are useful for creating non-contact switches such as a waterproof switch. Other applications includes position switches, rotary encoders and door open sensors. Operating voltage 4.5V - 24V. Connect pin 1 (left) to Vcc (voltage supply), the middle pin to Ground (0V), and the third pin is the output pin. The output should be connected to a 10K pull up resistor. When a magnet is near the sensor the output will drop to zero. Using an Arduino or other microcontroller this can be monitored and you have a working sensor!
