This lightweight, shock-resistant backup pad is constructed of 3\/8\" firm\ndensity foam for sanding flat surfaces, and has a 30 degree tapered edge for\napplications where some flexibility is needed. The 30 degree edge creates a\nslightly less aggressive cut than a disc pad with a 15 degree tapered edge.\nThe blue vinyl face securely holds a Stikit disc and allows easy removal with\nno leftover residue, for convenient disc changes between applications. The\ndisc pad has 5\/16-24 external threads compatible with a random orbital sander\nor other tool with 5\/16-24 internal threads. Max OPM and RPM are 12,000. The\n3M Stikit system was designed for convenient disc changes between grades or\napplications.
