Description
Before Pi-EzConnect, a flat ribbon cable, a breadboard and other wires are being used to connect sensors such as the temperature sensor to the Raspberry Pi. With the Pi-EzConnect, the connection is simplified. Securely wire the connections to the sensor using terminal blocks. Additional power connections are also provided via terminal blocks. Power bus – both 3.3V as well as the 5V power bus is available on Pi-EzConnect. Ground bus is also available on Pi-EzConnect. Electronic devices such as pull up or pull down resistors, LEDs, other components can easily be soldered onto the solder points on the Pi-EzConnect mini-bread board area. Sensors or other boards can also be soldered on solder points provided. Alternately, use the solder less terminal block connectors. Extended header pins allow other HATs to be stacked to Pi-EzConnect without any loss of functionality. To mount the Pi-EzConnect board on the Raspberry Pi use the 2.5mm x 15mm brass spacer standoffs. These spacers provide stability to the board and the Raspberry Pi. Data sheet and other relevant information on Alchemy Power web site. Pi-EzConnect works with 40 pin headers conforming to Raspberry Pi 40 pin header definition. This includes variants as Pi-2, Pi-3, Pi-4, Asus Tinker board, Orange etc. Pi- EzConnect for Raspberry Pi Pi-EzConnect enable easy connections to any GPIO or any other pin on a Raspberry Pi. The terminal blocks ensure easy to use, secure connections. Pin-Out and how it maps to the Raspberry Pi header Pi- EzConnect provides 5V, 3.3V, Ground and GPIO connections to the Pi Header as shown. No wire mess or accidental pull out Eliminate accidentally pulling out wires to the bread board or to other sensors. Terminal blocks ensure connections are securely connected. Other boards can be added to Pi-EzConnect Each terminal-block connect point has two additional solder points on the board. This can be used to connect other boards. Shown here is the Adafruit RTC clock board. Wiring to complete the circuitry to enable the board is not shown.
