BH-USA 5/16" Zinc Coated Copper Sleeve - 8Count
BH-USA 5/16" Zinc Coated Copper Sleeve - 8Count
The 5/16″ Zinc Coated Copper Sleeve is used to create an eye termination on cable and is secured using a wire rope crimper, also known as a swagger. Hourglass shape grips the cable. Meets all US standards, ideal for the marine environment. BH-USA recommends 7 x 19 aircraft cable for boat lift applications. 7 x 19 means the rope has seven strands and there are nineteen wires in each strand. Always consider at least a 5: 1 safety factor when figuring working loads. Wire rope sleeves are used to secure the ends of wire rope . BH-USA cannot or be held liable for cable, clips, fasteners or any other rigging past the purchase date. It is the responsibility of the ultimate user to determine a working load limit for each application. Many factors should be considered: included among, but not limited to, loads applied, speed of operation, acceleration or deceleration, length of rope or cable, shock loads, abrasion, corrosion, number, size, condition and location of drums and sheaves, facilities for inspection, and the danger to life and property should a rope or cable break. Wire do not ever use wire rope sold by or made by BH- USA or any product made by BH-USA to lift humans in any way. Never leave wire rope sleeves submerged in salt water for more than the time to float your boat, always rinse with fresh water after every use.
