This tool makes it easy to replace valve seals, valves, springs, and\r\nretainers. The tool is attached to the head with 2 short bolts. Once the tool\r\nis attached to the head you put a retainer cap (comes with kit) on the\r\nretainer\/spring(s) you want change next you tighten a bolt that will push down\r\non the retainer allowing you to easily remove the keepers. Next simply UN-\r\ntighten the bolt and remove the retainer cap to remove the spring(s). You can\r\nuse this tool with the head on the block. Installation instruction: If using\r\nwith the head on the block, cylinders need to be pressurized to 100PSI to\r\nprevent the valve from falling into the cylinder. If using with the head out\r\nof the engine compartment, put something bellow the valve to keep it pressed\r\nupward. Align the holes on the tool with the one the head, and place the\r\nshorter bolts and washers to secure the tool. Place the retainer cap on top of\r\nthe retainer, lubricate the long bolt with provided grease and start turning\r\nthe long bolt clockwise with the help of a wrench (14mm) to apply pressure to\r\nthe retainer cap and compress the valve spring until the keepers are\r\ncompletely visible and can come out. Using the magnetized end of the screw\r\ndriver remove the keepers. To reinstall the valve assembly, place the valve\r\n(if removed for some reason), valve seals, valve spring, and retainer;\r\ncompress the assembly using the same steps as above. Place a small amount of\r\nthe provided grease on the flat tip of the screw driver and place a keeper\r\nover it, the grease will hold the keeper in place and allow you to place the\r\nkeepers easily.
