Standard spatulas feature a unique spatula\/spoon end and a smaller\nscoop end. Macro smartSpatula is features a spatula\/spoon and a clump-busting\npick for use in larger containers. ECO-spatulas are produced with an additive\nthat helps promote biodegradation in the PP resin. Spatulas produced using\nthis additive were found to biodegrade an average of 29% in the first 586 days\nof testing. Biodegradation rates of ECO-spatulas were measured according to\nthe ASTM D5511 test method. Tests were conducted using 48% solids content;\nsolids content in naturally wetter landfills range from 55% to 65%, while the\ndriest landfills may reach 93%. Actual biodegradation rates will vary in\nbiologically-active landfills according the solids content, temperature, and\nmoisture levels of the landfill. All spatulas meet standards for food contact\napplications. Sterile spatulas are ETO sterilized and packed 10 per sterile\npouch, 10 pouches per pack.
