Grab the bolts\r\nholding the flex pipe to the flange on the muffler with a wrench. Turn\r\ncounterclockwise to remove them. Then pull the flex pipe out of the flange.2.\r\nRemove the clamp holding the flex pipe to the exhaust downpipe with the\r\nwrench.3. Pull out the old gasket that sat between the flex pipe and the\r\nmuffler flange. Then clean out the flange with a stiff wire brush.4. Hammer\r\nout any dents from the end of the exhaust downpipe.5. Loosen the nuts holding\r\nthe muffler and downpipe.6. Coat a new muffler gasket with exhaust sealer,\r\nthen place it in the muffler flange and fit the end of the new flex pipe over\r\nit.7. Coat the end of the downpipe with more exhaust sealant and place the\r\nfree end of the new flex pipe over it. Adjust the position of the muffler and\r\ndownpipe until the flex pipe is straight but free of tension.8. Thread bolts\r\nthrough the holes in the end of the flex pipe attached to the muffler flange.\r\nTighten them with a wrench to secure the pipe to the flange.9. Place a new\r\nclamp around the flex pipe where it meets the downpipe and tighten it with a\r\nwrench. Retighten the bolts holding the muffler and downpipe and cut any\r\nplastic ties that are wrapped around the flex pipe.
