It's like those\r\nfancy thermal cameras, but compact and simple enough for easy integration.\r\nThis part will measure temperatures ranging from 0°C to 80°C with an accuracy\r\nof +- 2.5°C. It can detect a human from a distance of up to 7 meters. We have\r\ncode for using this breakout on an Arduino or compatible (the sensor\r\ncommunicates over I2C) or on a Raspberry Pi with Python. On the Pi, with a bit\r\nof image processing help from the SciPy python library we were able to\r\ninterpolate the 8x8 grid and get some pretty nice results! The AMG8833 is the\r\nnext generation of 8x8 thermal IR sensors from Panasonic, and offers higher\r\nperformance than it's predecessor the AMG8831. The sensor only supports I2C,\r\nand has a configurable interrupt pin that can fire when any individual pixel\r\ngoes above or below a threshold that you set. To make it easy to use, we pick\r\n\u0026amp; placed it on a breakout board with a 3.3V regulator and level shifting. So\r\nyou can use it with any 3V or 5V microcontroller or computer.
