Each adapter uses an ultra-low-profile pass-through female GPIO\nsocket. The female socket can be used directly with male GPIO pins, while the\nsupplied male-to-male 2.54mm headers provide an instant male GPIO interface\nwhen required. This gives the same adapter both female and male connection\noptions without soldering. The kit includes both 15cm and 25cm 40-pin FPC\ncables. The 15cm cable is supplied pre-connected to the two adapters. The FPC\ncables and connector contact areas use gold-plated contacts for reliable low-\nlevel electrical connection and improved resistance to oxidation and repeated\nuse. For Raspberry Pi 5 installations using the Active Cooler, the supplied\nlong-pin GPIO stacking header can raise the GPIO connection above the cooler\nwhile still leaving approximately 6mm of GPIO pin exposed for additional\nconnection. Two different-height 4-pin PoE header risers are also included for\nPoE HAT installations requiring additional board-to-board clearance. The\nincluded M2.5×14mm and M2.5×18mm brass spacers support different HAT PCB and\nGPIO socket arrangements. Depending on the HAT design, the supplied spacers\ncan also be used together with the original HAT mounting hardware to obtain\nthe required stacking height.
