Well, with the SparkFun TMP102
Digital Temperature Sensor, we've made it just about as easy as it gets. Based
on the original Digital Temperature Sensor Breakout - TMP102, we've added
Qwiic connectors to bring this board into our plug-and-play Qwiic Ecosystem
and added an address jumper instead of breaking out the address pin. However,
we still have broken out 0.1"-spaced pins in case you prefer to use a
breadboard. The TMP102 itself is an easy-to-use digital temperature sensor from
TI. While some temperature sensors use an analog voltage to represent the
temperature, the TMP102 uses the I2C bus of the single-board computer to
communicate the temperature. The TMP102 is capable of reading temperatures to a
resolution of 0.0625°C, and is accurate up to 0.5°C. The breakout has built-in
4.7kΩ pull-up resistors for I2C communications and runs from 1.4V to 3.6V. If
you're hooking up multiple I2C devices on the same bus, you may want to
disable/enable the pull-up resistors for one or more boards. I2C communication
uses an open drain signaling, so there is no need to use level shifting. The
SparkFun Qwiic Connect System is an ecosystem of I2C sensors, actuators,
shields and cables that make prototyping faster and less prone to error. All
Qwiic-enabled boards use a common 1mm pitch, 4-pin JST connector. This reduces
the amount of required PCB space, and polarized connections mean you can’t
hook it up wrong.Note: There is no onboard voltage regulation on this boards.
If you choose to provide power via the plated through holes, ensure that your
voltage does not exceed the 4V absolute maximum.

Features:

Uses the I2C interface.

The ESP8266 is a cost-effective, and very capable WiFi-enabled
microcontroller. It can be programmed to blink LEDs, trigger relays, monitor
sensors, or automate coffee makers, and with an integrated WiFi controller,
the ESP8266 is a one-stop shop for almost any Internet-connected project. To
top it all off, the ESP8266 is incredibly easy-to-use: firmware can be
developed in multiple IDEs, and uploaded over a simple, serial interface. The
board breaks out all of the module’s pins, and the USB-to-serial converter
means you don’t need any peripheral components to program the chip. Just plug
in a USB cable, download the compatible with Arduino board definitions, and
start IoT-ing.A relatively simple board. The pins are broken out to two
parallel, breadboard-compatible rows. The USB connector sits next to an
optional power supply input, and an ON/OFF switch – controlling power to the
ESP8266 – sits next to that. And LEDs towards the inside of the board indicate
power, charge, and status of the IC. The ESP8266’s maximum voltage is 3.6V, so
the Thing has an onboard 3.3V regulator to deliver a safe, consistent voltage
to the IC. That means the I/O pins also run at 3.3V, you’ll need to level
shift any 5V signals running into the IC. If your project requires a power
source other than USB, the Board includes footprints for a 2-pin JST, 2-pin
3.5mm screw terminal, or a simple 0.1"-pitch 2-pin header. This board has
4Mbit SPI (512KB) on board flash memory. The Thing Dev Board even includes a
PCB trace antenna as a default WiFi antenna, it’s cost-effective and actually
works really well! If you need to connect a more sensitive antenna, or need to
route outside an enclosure, a U.FL connector is also available on the board.
Some soldering will be required to get the U.FL connector functioning.

Features:

All module pins broken out for ease of use.

We now use a SMD 6-pin header
on the bottom, which makes it smaller and more compact. Functionality has
remained the same. This is a basic breakout board for the FTDI FT232RL USB to
serial IC. The pinout of this board matches the FTDI cable to work with
official Arduino and cloned 3.3V Arduino boards. It can also be used for
general serial applications. The major difference with this board is that it
brings out the DTR pin as opposed to the RTS pin of the FTDI cable. The DTR
pin allows an Arduino target to auto-reset when a new Sketch is downloaded.
This is a really nice feature to have and allows a sketch to be downloaded
without having to hit the reset button. This board will auto reset any Arduino
board that has the reset pin brought out to a 6-pin connector. The pins labeled
BLK and GRN correspond to the colored wires on the FTDI cable. The black wire
on the FTDI cable is GND, green is DTR. Use these BLK and GRN pins to align
the FTDI basic board with your Arduino target. There are pros and cons to the
FTDI Cable vs the FTDI Basic. This board has TX and RX LEDs that allow you to
actually see serial traffic on the LEDs to verify if the board is working, but
this board requires a Mini-B cable. The FTDI Cable is well protected against
the elements, but is large and cannot be embedded into a project as easily.
The FTDI Basic uses DTR to cause a hardware reset where the FTDI cable uses
the RTS signal. This board was designed to decrease the cost of Arduino
development and increase ease of use (the auto-reset feature rocks!).
The SAM-M8Q is a 72-channel GNSS receiver,
meaning it can receive signals from the GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo
constellations. This increases precision and decreases lock time and thanks to
the onboard rechargable battery, you'll have backup power enabling the GPS to
get a hot lock within seconds! Additionally, this u-blox receiver supports I2C
(u-blox calls this Display Data Channel) which made it perfect for the Qwiic
compatibility so we don't have to use up our precious UART ports. Utilizing
our handy Qwiic system, no soldering is required to connect it to the rest of
your system. However, we still have broken out 0.1"-spaced pins in case you
prefer to use a breadboard. U-blox based GPS products are configurable using
the popular, but dense, windows program called u-center. Plenty of different
functions can be configured on the SAM-M8Q: baud rates, update rates,
geofencing, spoofing detection, external interrupts, SBAS/D-GPS, etc. All of
this can be done within the SparkFun Arduino Library! The SparkFun SAM-M8Q GPS
Breakout is also equipped with an on-board rechargeable battery that provides
power to the RTC on the SAM-M8Q. This reduces the time-to-first fix from a
cold start (~30s) to a hot start (~1s). The battery will maintain RTC and GNSS
orbit data without being connected to power for plenty of time. The SparkFun
Qwiic Connect System is an ecosystem of I2C sensors, actuators, shields and
cables that make prototyping faster and less prone to error. All Qwiic-enabled
boards use a common 1mm pitch, 4-pin JST connector. This reduces the amount of
required PCB space, and polarized connections mean you can’t hook it up
wrong. The SAM-M8Q GPS Breakout can also be automatically detected, scanned,
configured, and logged using the OpenLog Artemis datalogger system.
